Our goal is to enhance our community through youth mentorship and fitness!
We have partnered with Forging Youth Resilience whose mission is to “empower young people to build physical and mental strength for life by providing access to a network of community-based fitness programs and mentorship.”
FYR Mac-Town program is currently for 8-18-year-olds.
This program is FREE to all!
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday:
4:15pm-5:00 (youth 8-12)
6:30-7:30 ( 6th graders to 18)
Our program focuses on providing access to exercise to all children regardless of socio-economic situation. The benefits of exercise in youth for mental, emotional and social health is well known and we strive to provide a place they can learn and grow in a positive, safe environment. Our classes consist of a daily check in to gauge the mental state of the kids, a game and warmup, and a fun workout! We want kids to connect exercise to fun and a better mental state!
Our Teen Athletics program is a strength and conditioning class developed specifically for the teenage-“ish” age range and is always scalable based upon your teen’s ability. We teach our young athletes to move correctly and because the workouts are constantly varied, your teen is less likely to fall prey to the overuse injuries that plague common training routines and year-round sports. Our program can help any high school athlete improve his or her speed, coordination, strength, and endurance.
